Disabling Automatic Wireless Connection in Linux Mint

This action is particularly useful when you are formatting a machine for someone else as the installation is best done with wifi connected, you don't want to hand back the machine with your wifi network set to auto connect.

To disable an automatic wireless connection in Linux Mint

From the network menu page
click on the arrow (->) next to the connected wifi name
click on forget network
accept forget network

Done, the next time you or anyone tries to connect to the same network you will be prompted for a password.

Error Code 0 (on Mac)

If you come across this error message while you are trying to copy a file for example to a SD card, it's because the SD card is formatted to FAT32 and this does not allow single large files to be copied to it.

From disk utility re-format to ExFAT.

If you get message: "could not unmount disk" then select zero out data before formatting. (Be warned, depending on size of your SD card memory, this can take a long time)

Moving iPhoto Library To External Hard Drive

Ensure the external hard drive is connected.
In finder, select the iPhoto library and move to hard drive folder.

Depending on how large the library is this could take some time. Once completed you need to let iPhoto know where the library is. You can select this by holding down the option key, otherwise known as the 'alt' key on a MacBook, and opening iPhoto, you will be prompted to choose which library to use. You only need to do this once.
